Governance Health Check
Continuously evaluating the way you work is the only way to ensure real improvement over time. Even if you are already outstanding you can't afford to stand still and we can work with you to help you review how you work, what works well and what areas would benefit for improvements. It is essential that you ensure that your governance is robust and fit for purpose and this is where our services can help.
The tool is based on an on-line questionnaire and whilst you may have used questionnaires in the past one of the key advantages of using our tool is that every Board members' response is kept confidential and because of the way the results are presented individuals cannot be identified. This helps to get honest evaluations made.
Our Governance HealthCheck is an easy way of getting Board members to evaluate the work of the Board against the inspection framework and also to benchmark your college against others in the same sector. At the same time it carries out a limited skills evaluation of your Board Members.
The way the results are presented is a graphical and easy to understand analysis that supports further work by the Board to identify areas where improvement can take place or where you are already strong - and supported by other sources at your disposal will help to provide evidence for any inspection you have in the future.
The questionnaire covers a number of areas and in a number of sections also evaluates the skills members of the Board bring to the table.

The outputs are all graphical with supporting text and sections at the rear with suggestions about future development activity the Board might consider. Your College can be benchmarked against others with similar inspection results or the complete database. The whole exercise is one designed to be simple to understand and help you move your Board towards outstanding - or help you maintain it!
